IMPLANT RETAINED OVERDENTURES

All of the following cases were completed by Dr. Fioritto.

Case #1

The remaining mandibular teeth needed to be extracted due to decay and bone loss.  The patient chose an implant retained overdenture.  The teeth were extracted and the implants placed and loaded immediately using the referring dentist’s prefabricated immediate lower denture.  With the proper amount of alveoloplasty, no metal framework is needed to prevent the denture from breaking.

Case #2

People with atrophic ridges have difficulty retaining their dentures.  Bilateral sinus grafting, 6 implants and bars with locator attachments were used to help retain a palateless maxillary denture.
